Review of IG @ana_livrosepoesia of my book “O Silêncio dos Livros”

& #x1f338; Hello, readers! Are you reading well? & #x1f338; Today I came to talk to you about a book that has become one of the best readings I have ever done. The Silence of Books, by the author @faustopanicacci in addition to having impeccable and thought-provoking writing, I can already say that it touched me a lot.
.
& #x1f4da; Recently published in 2019, O Silêncio dos Livros is a dystopia set in Brazil and Portugal. The book tells the story of a time when having books was a crime liable to severe punishment, and the author, with mastery, managed to detail this event in three parts that linked the lives of the main characters.
.
& #x1f4dd; ”Hurry up slowly.”
.
& #x1f4da; Despite the prohibition of books around the world being the main point of this dystopia, the reader is immersed in a whole conspiracy plot that involves this prohibition law. And it is in this plot that we know the story of the survival of Hilário Pena and Menina Alice who, defenders of books, will fight for them each in their time until the stories intersect at a certain moment of reading. The narrative shows past, present and future at different times, oscillating between Alice's eyes and Hilário's life until they meet and gives us a surprising ending.
.
& #x1f4dd; ”Everything that does not die, dies. But everything that dies, lives forever. ”
.
& #x1f4ad; This reading left me deeply moved in several moments, mainly when we know the story of Hilário and his evolution as a person and reader, I cannot deny that I cried in several moments because the author's description is very synesthetic, which made me very happy . Heavy but fast reading, the reader is totally conquered by the plot in general and by the desire to know what will happen during the reading, that is, it is a book that arouses a lot of curiosity.
.
& #x1f4da; Filled with great bibliographical references easily identified, The Silence of Books is a contemporary work, but during the reading the impression I had was reading a classic dystopia like those of George Orwell.
.
& #x1f338; I want to thank the author for providing me with such a grateful reading, as it was undoubtedly one of the best books I have ever read.
