The silence of books is a dystopia, in this new society books are banned due to all the technological advances that exist.

The book brings us the story of a girl named Alice, extremely curious she loves stories, but her parents practically ignore her. One day she observes the arrival of a new neighbor named Santiago, he ends up paying attention to her and telling her stories. In parallel we have the story of Hilário Pena, a man accused of killing another in a fight, but he swears he never did that despite all the evidence. The man remains in Babel prison and there he meets Antônio, they become friends and Antônio manages, through books, to make Hilário believe again in the power of stories. ⠀

OPINION:
📖This book is divided into 3 parts in a kind of “puzzle”, in the first part we meet Alice, in the second part the whole story and life of Hilário and in the last part we meet Santiago and how the lives of these 3 people will connect. ⠀

📚I found the author's narrative very poetic, well written, he knows how to choose the words. I loved this atmosphere of mystery in the story and how the author managed to bring a dystopia that fulfills its role very well, making us reflect on our society. History shows how books are powerful and can change minds., in addition to the power of stories and friendships. ⠀

📘In my opinion it is a very complete dystopia and with a writing worthy of classic gringos of the genre. My grade is 4⭐’s, due to the ending, unfortunately he didn't convince me, but talking to Fausto Panicacci I understand the reasons, but I was kind of upset with this ending 😂
Anyway, I want to let each one draw their conclusions about this ending…
